These silk scarves are printed with my zinc metal etched plate. Unlike my other works using scans of the this design to make screen prints, these pieces display the direct print with no digital interference. Printed onto bamboo silk, this material acts like paper, picking up every mark that has been etched into the metal. I have also hand embroidered details that could otherwise be lost to the eye. I used silk thread and a hair-thin beading needle for precision.
